Mamabird tells you what tends to change in a baby's development, and when. It is general information written for a general audience. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional who knows you and your child.
Always check with your own doctor, midwife, nurse practitioner, dietitian or other qualified professional before making a decision about your health or your child's health. Never delay seeking advice, and never disregard advice you have been given, because of something you read in this app.
Mamabird does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It does not monitor, measure or assess your child. It has no way of knowing anything about your child beyond the date of birth you entered.
Content is drawn from guidance published by:
Where a card states something as established guidance, it names and links the source. Where something is widely advised but not formally established, the card says so. Where we have drawn our own reasonable conclusion, we say that too.
Medical guidance is revised. The infant choking protocol changed in October 2025, and a great deal of advice still circulating online predates that. We review content and date it, but there will be periods where published guidance has moved and we have not yet caught up.
More importantly, every child develops differently and every recovery is different. Developmental milestones describe what most children do by a certain age. Roughly one in four children who are developing entirely normally will not have reached a given milestone on the day it is mentioned. Nothing in this app is a test, and nothing in it can tell you whether your child is well.
Some cards mention products. Where a link earns us a commission, that is stated clearly next to the link. A commission never determines what we recommend, and it never changes safety guidance.
